Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations in a busy neighborhood location. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and assist customers while maintaining clean, organized displays and proper cash handling.

You will also help implement plan-of-gram layouts, greet customers, and participate in end-of-day procedures under supervision. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliable operation of the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with supervisory exposure.
• Ability to perform basic math and accurately handle cash deposits.
• Experience with plan-and-merchandise layout guidance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and process payments while bagging merchandise.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise on the floor.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and maintain displays.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including front-end area and stockroom.
• Open/close store under direction of Area Manager when required.
• Sign refunds/overrides and manage cash accountability in absence of store manager.
