Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to lead in absence of store management. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and organizing merchandise, and delivering excellent customer service. You will assist with plan-o-grams, operate the register, and help maintain a safe, clean store environment.

High school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of supervisory experience are preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Math skills for calculations and percentages.
• Cash handling procedures including accountability and deposits.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Reading and following plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, face, and display merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating items and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Operate cash register and provide bagging; collect payment and give change.
• Maintain plan-o-grams and merchandising displays.
• Open/close store under Area Manager direction.
