Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc. is seeking a Store Lead to create a welcoming environment and uphold high standards of service. You will bridge store management and the team, lead by example, and handle inventory, merchandising, and customer engagement with a focus on operational excellence.

You will report to the Store Manager and balance leadership with hands-on work. Prior grocery/retail experience and a flexible schedule are preferred to support a busy, customer-focused store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–5 years grocery/retail experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• Ability to lead and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to associates, acting as a team member and leader to ensure harmony and productivity.
• Monitor workflow and cover breaks, ensuring tasks and customer needs are handled promptly.
• Enforce company policies and safety guidelines; escalate concerns to management.
• Drive sales and margins through effective merchandising and execution.
• Interact with customers with kindness and enthusiasm, addressing questions.
