Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Grovetown, GA is seeking a Lead Sales Associate who will help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, and support the Store Manager as needed.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to follow planograms, perform basic calculations, and handle cash. You will open and close the store in coordination with management, and may perform duties in the absence

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
