Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a diligent Cashier/Stocker who can also lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will unload trucks, stock and display merchandise, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will handle the cash register, assist customers, and help keep the store clean and organized while following company SOPs. This role requires flexibility and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and supervisory experience.
• Cash handling knowledge and good math skills are essential.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions and process payments.
• Familiarity with plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication abilities.
• Understanding of safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store procedures.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag items.
• Maintain plan-o-grams, displays, and inventory accuracy.
• Open/close the store under direction of the Area Manager.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment.
