Job summary

Portland Leather Goods is seeking a Store Key Holder for its Birmingham, MI location. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, leading a team, and managing store operations in the manager's absence. Weekend availability is a consideration for this customer-centric position.

You will open/close the store, assist customers with product selection, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor while supporting promotions and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail leadership or key holder experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in retail, store operations, and customer experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and POS systems accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems; Shopify experience a plus.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Open and close duties, secure the store, manage alarms, and prepare registers.
• Build lasting relationships and memorable experiences with customers.
• Keep sales floor, backroom, and checkout area organized and merchandised per standards.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, stocking, and replenishment.
• Train new associates on store procedures and customer service expectations; lead when management is absent.
