Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Store Administrator to implement HR policies and ensure compliance with labor laws. You’ll support recruitment, training, employee relations and payroll processes to maintain a positive work environment.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills, able to handle varied hours and adapt to a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 2 years’ related experience; or an acceptable education/experience mix.
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality in handling records and sensitive information.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer HR procedures to ensure compliance with policies and labor laws.
• Provide HR program guidance to employees and managers.
• Interact daily with staff to resolve complaints and improve working conditions.
• Plan and execute recruitment, interviews, hiring, promotions, transfers, and payroll-related tasks.
• Organize employee orientation and manage certifications.
• Maintain personnel records and post internal job openings.
• Prepare weekly reports and ensure payroll and I-9 documentation compliance.
• Coordinate safety audits and align with Loss Prevention and HR teams.
• Assist with safety coaching and daily store walks.
