Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Human Resources Lead to support store-level HR operations and create a positive associate experience. You will partner with store leadership on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, training, benefits, performance, and engagement.

The role emphasizes People First values and collaboration with Store Managers and partners across the organization to drive growth and a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of human resources experience preferred.
• Experience supporting employee relations and onboarding.
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment policies, and workplace compliance.
• Experience using HRIS, ATS, or other computer‑based systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: review applications, conduct phone screenings, assist with candidate selection; coordinate interviews; support hiring events and local recruiting efforts.
• Associate Support & HR Operations: coordinate onboarding, maintain associate records, HRIS data, attendance records; support benefits and leave administration; provide guidance to associates.
• Employee Relations, Training & Compliance: partner with managers on employee relations, coaching, and development; assist investigations and policy compliance; coordinate training programs including onboarding and safety.
• Store Support: maintain confidentiality of information; communicate programs and updates; provide professional support to associates and leaders; participate in cross-training.
