Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Human Resources Lead to support store-level HR operations and create a positive associate experience. You will partner with store leadership to support recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, training, performance management, and engagement.

The role focuses on building a People First culture, handling HR processes, and collaborating with managers across the stores. Candidates should have 2+ years in HR with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or related experience preferred.
• Experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, HR administration, or associate engagement.
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment policies, and workplace compliance.
• Experience using HRIS, ATS, or other computer-based systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with associates and leadership at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: Review applications, conduct phone screenings, assist selection, coordinate interviews and events.
• Associate Support & HR Operations: Onboarding, maintain records, HRIS data, attendance, benefits, leave, HR reporting.
• Employee Relations, Training & Compliance: Partner on ER, investigations, policy compliance, training programs, safety audits.
• Store Support: Maintain confidentiality, communicate programs/benefits, support associates and leadership, cross-train.
