Job summary

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is seeking an Assistant Manager to blend strategy, operations, and people leadership in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee opening/closing routines, supervise sales floor and stockroom, and drive efficiency while delivering best-in-class customer service.

You’ll recruit, train, and develop staff, demonstrate brand knowledge, and push dynamic visual merchandising to support sales growth. A strong customer focus and fashion awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year supervisory experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong customer focus and service orientation.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing routines to ensure store readiness.
• Supervise sales floor and stockroom for smooth operations and excellent service.
• Handle staffing, scheduling, and payroll for the team.
• Train and develop non-management staff.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and brand awareness to drive sales.
• Build and maintain compelling visual displays and windows.
• Analyze reporting to inform business decisions and performance.
• Protect store assets and conduct inventory control.
• Operate Point of Sale systems and process transactions.
• Fulfill OMNI Channel orders and support online/offline integration.
