Job summary

Culligan International is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations at the store branches. You will lead daily activities, guide staff, set performance goals, and prepare operations and financial reports.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. The position emphasizes achieving revenue targets, managing safety and compliance, and coordinating with teams to optimize branch performance.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred.
• Direct responsibility for P&L performance, including revenue, costs, and margins.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• 5 years of basic plumbing, operations, management, and marketing is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Ability to generate sales growth. Strong sales generation ability and financial performance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Full operational responsibility for all profit and loss related activities of the branch.
• Prepare staff to deliver exemplary customer service and measure performance to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines; file insurance reports for general liability, fleet accidents, and workers' comp.
• Protect and manage branch assets.
• Foster a team culture with recognition and motivation.
• Prepare accurate forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee branch payables, inventory, and receivables.
• Respond to difficult customer inquiries and unusual situations.
• Route deliveries and service calls efficiently.
• Execute programs to meet/exceed the sales plan.
• Monitor local competition and use market trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
• Identify training needs and facilitate development opportunities.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
• May cover other branch staff duties as needed.
• Improve branch efficiency by consolidating/automating duties.
