Job summary

Applegreen Group in Lexington, SC seeks a Convenience Store General Manager to oversee daily store operations, staff, inventory, and financial performance. This exempt, salaried role reports to the District Manager and requires strong leadership and customer service.

You will manage staff schedules, training, cash handling, and store presentation while meeting sales targets, gross profit, and profitability goals; you will collaborate with regional managers to develop cost-effective advertising

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate staff
• Experience working to targets, KPI's and measurements
• Understanding of P&L and financials
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Flexible and open schedule
• Retail management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train staff for the location.
• Organize schedules and oversee staff workloads.
• Process daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensure deposits and reporting.
• Uphold store standards in housekeeping, merchandising, and service.
• Lead regular staff meetings to execute plans.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to maintain relationships.
• Ensure inventory accuracy with spot checks.
• Coordinate with regional managers on cost-effective hiring/advertising strategies.
• Maintain a clean, inviting store appearance.
• Meet gross profit, net margin and sales targets with District Managers.
