Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a lead cashier/stocker to act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities include stocking, plan-o-grams, customer service, cash handling, and loss protection to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Experience with cash handling and cashier accountability
• Familiarity with plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
• Ability to perform basic math and cashier operations
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of safety and loss-prevention practices
• Experience with opening/closing store operations when needed

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise; maintain clean store.
• Assist customers and locate merchandise.
• Handle refunds/overrides and cash/drawer management in supervisor absence.
• Maintain register countertops and operate cash register.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager direction.
