Job summary

Dollar General seeks a capable cashier/stocker to lead in the absence of store leadership. You will drive customer service, maintain plan-o-grams, and help maximize profitability by ensuring orderly shelves, clean environments, and secure operations.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking displays, handling transactions, and guiding teammates to deliver a safe, efficient shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions and follow plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; rotate and face items.
• Restock returned merchandise and monitor stock levels.
• Open/close the store as directed by the Area Manager.
• Operate the register, itemize purchases, bag merchandise, and give change.
• Greet customers; assist in locating items and maintaining a clean store.
