Job summary

Michaels in Gainesville, VA is seeking a dedicated team member to help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment and assist customers with their shopping needs. The role emphasizes consistent cleaning, safety, and friendly service aligned with Michaels Brand Promises.

You will participate in cash handling at checkout, support rewards enrollment, and assist with omni-channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship from Store to enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with cleaning materials and equipment.
• Provide a fast and friendly check out experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS)
• Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards
