Job summary

PetSmart’s Experience Leader (ELR) is responsible for providing exceptional leadership and service to our pet parents while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role drives the pet parent experience through culture and strategies, aiming for targeted results.

This role has shared responsibility for the safety of people and pets, efficient daily tasks and financial outcomes. You’ll lead store initiatives and ensure expectations are met.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail leadership or customer-focused experience.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the associate experience and development.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Delegate and prioritize daily tasks.
• Ensure pets in care are safe and healthy.
• Oversee the pet parent experience across services.
• Drive store P&L; manage expenses.
• Ensure store standards and code of ethics.
• Support monthly Services Walks and action on issues.
