Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store Director for the South Detroit Market, overseeing locations in Bellville, Carpenter Rd (Ypsilanti), Taylor, Saline Rd (Ann Arbor), Westland, Southgate, Scio Twp, Lincoln Park, Flat Rock, Woodhaven, Allen Park and more.

You will lead all store operations, drive sales, and develop leaders while upholding Meijer’s values and financial goals. The role requires proven retail leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to mentor teams to achieve exceptional customer

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
5 years of retail/service industry experience.
3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
3 years of retail leadership experience with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue.

Responsibilities

Use your leadership skills to maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility.
Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations.
Mentor and coach all team members and leaders to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
Ensure the store is properly staffed with well-trained team members and develop existing staff.
Maintain corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures to ensure a safe and stable work environment.
Be a strong community partner by cultivating relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
