Job summary

Madewell is seeking a Store Director responsible for every aspect of store performance, profitability, and customer relationships. You will hire and train staff, cultivate an inclusive culture, and drive operations to deliver a seamless shopping experience.

You will lead from the front with a focus on brand authenticity, teamwork, and strategic planning, ensuring the store meets or exceeds goals while building customer loyalty.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-time retail management experience.
• Passionately support the Madewell brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courteous service.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift at least 40 pounds (18 kg).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to maximize profitability while maintaining brand standards.
• Create exceptional customer experiences through personalized service and swift issue resolution.
• Oversee store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Recruit, train, and develop a diverse, high-performing team.
• Collaborate with the District Manager to maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure performance goals are tracked and exceeded with best-in-class service.
• Provide feedback to influence assortment and visual merchandising.
