Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.50

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms, along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly and friendly, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Provides a legendary experience by assisting customers in making buying decisions through:
    • Identifying and evaluating customers’ needs,
    • Making product recommendations based on this analysis,
    • Promoting programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
  2. Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
  3. Demonstrates product knowledge to customers.
  4. Organizes and maintains merchandise within the store for sales at the Gun Counter.
  5. Replenishes product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
  6. Remains knowledgeable of products through ongoing training.
  7. Maintains awareness of advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
  8. Assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
  9. Keeps work area clean, neat, and well-stocked.
  10. Follows all company policies and procedures.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of retail experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
  • Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
  • Customer service and sales skills for firearms and ammunition.
  • Knowledge of GCA regulations.
  • Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • N/A
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Constant standing and walking during shifts.
  • Occasional use of ladders, stairs, ramps.
  • Frequent communication with others.
  • Occasional repetitive motions with wrists, hands, fingers.
  • Occasional operation of machinery or vehicles.
  • Light work involving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with team assistance.
  • Occasional work in confined spaces or noisy environments.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Makes recommendations on work procedures and policies.
