Qualifications

• The incumbent should possess the knowledge and skills generally associated with a Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years supermarket management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in implementing an in-store sales-building culture with merchandising programs and weekly sales plans.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and frontline service commitments are met.
• Help achieve budgeted financial results and assist in overall store performance.
• Protect assets: merchandise, cash, facilities, and equipment; conduct weekly audits.
• Control store expenses including wage budgets and efficiency.
• Assist staffing: forecast needs, recruit, and train; develop hi-potential staff.
• Communicate performance expectations and conduct reviews with direct reports.
• Maintain awareness through frequent store walks and inspections.
• Develop and guide the store management team and department managers.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are maintained.
• Create a positive morale environment and a selling culture.
• Provide clear communications to Store Manager, Field Merchandisers, and employees.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and policies, including audits.
• Maintain safety for customers and employees.
