KJ's Market, part of IGA Southeast, seeks a Co-Manager to help operate a busy grocery store. You will assist the Store Manager with execution of merchandising plans, staffing, training, and achieving budgeted results while maintaining high customer service and food safety standards.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of supermarket management experience, with a focus on building a positive, sales-driven store culture and strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists the store manager in implementing in-store sales-building culture and weekly merchandising plans.
• Provides high customer satisfaction with front-end service and courtesy.
• Aids in achieving budgeted financial results for the store.
• Protects assets: merchandise, cash, facilities and equipment; conducts weekly audits.
• Controls store expenses, including wage percent.
• Assists staffing: forecasting, recruitment and training; develops hi-potential staff.
• Ensures reports and reviews performance with staff; conducts reviews.
• Performs frequent store walks to monitor conditions.
• Trains and develops store management team and department managers.
• Maintains sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintains positive store morale with supportive supervision.
• Provides effective communication to Store Manager, Field Merchandisers and staff.
• Ensures stores run in compliance with company standards.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and policies.
• Maintains a safe facility for customers and employees.
