Job summary

Books-A-Million in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Co-Manager to lead daily store operations as Manager On-Duty alongside the management team, driving sales and customer service while ensuring merchandising plans are followed.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work opening or closing shifts. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities to develop our Associates and advance within the company.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
• Previous supervisory experience
• Successful completion of all required background screenings

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence with all Company policy and guidelines.
• Operates the store as the Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team.
• Maintains the physical security of the store they are assigned, and in doing so is a key-holding member of management.
• Ensures highest level of customer service and handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency.
• Trains and develops Associates and Leads.
• Facilitates effective communication to all store Associates through daily briefings and weekly and monthly meetings.
• Drops off bank deposit and pick up change order as needed
• Picks up café grocery supplies (milk, baked goods, etc.) as needed
• Consults with the General Manager on associate performance
• Performs other duties as assigned.
