Qualifications

As our enthusiastic and hardworking ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Taking an active role and partnering with the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store.
  • Managing all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Providing coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees.
  • Ensuring Customer/Donor needs are met by maintaining good Customer/Donor/Community relations; resolving complaints; and ensuring quick and efficient service.
  • Communicating personnel issues with Management, in the absence of Store Manager. May issue disciplinary warnings, conference reports, employee evaluations, and goals as needed in coordination with HR and District Sales Manager.
  • Maintaining store standards, adequate inventory levels, and overseeing Back Room Processing (BRP) in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Ensuring cash is available at the start of each day, safeguarding cash in registers and safes, and banking cash receipts per ARC policy.
  • Assisting in establishing and maintaining safety measures in line with ARC policies and regulations.
  • Implementing loss prevention measures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Management, Retail Directors, and Command Administration.

Qualifications to be considered for this position:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years retail management/supervisory experience.
  • Ability to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and transactions.
  • Valid Driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects like carts, fixtures, and merchandise.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days a week. Schedules are determined by Management, and employees must be flexible to ensure store coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
