Job summary

Family Dollar is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will assist the Store Manager with inventories, merchandising, and completing daily paperwork.

The role requires leadership to train associates, manage scheduling, and participate in loss prevention while ensuring a clean, well-stocked store that meets company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Retail management experience preferred in grocery or drug store settings.
• Ability to read and execute operational directives and merchandise schematics.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with a positive attitude.
• Assist Store Manager in daily store operations and paperwork.
• Supervise and train Store Associates on Family Dollar policies.
• Help unload deliveries and stock merchandise.
• Assist in ordering, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts and safety procedures.
• Fill in for Store Manager as needed and maintain store standards.
