Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC is hiring Storage & Virtualization Engineers to support the AFCENT NOSC contract at Shaw AFB. The NOSC program runs 24/7 enterprise network operations, including cybersecurity, engineering, maintenance, and technical support, to keep the AFCENT theater communications and IT infrastructure secure and available to enable mission execution.

Applicants should have an Associates in a related field or 3+ years of relevant experience, with certifications such as CompTIA

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field or 3+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be eligible for DoD Secret clearance (or interim clearance).
• Certifications listed in the qualifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration, installation, operation, and maintenance support on NOSC networks and systems.
• Monitor security posture including STIG compliance, patching and vulnerability mitigation.
• Remediate STIG gaps, patching, and endpoint protection for NOSC devices and systems.
• Maintain server rooms, cabling, and equipment organization.
• Design and maintain network layer architecture with diagrams and rack elevations.
• Monitor NOSC status and remediate outages using standard management platforms.
• Coordinate ASIs for maintenance and manage spare parts inventory.
• Perform data backup and recovery for servers and applications.
• Respond to tickets and incidents per NOSC policies and procedures.
• Provide desktop/client support for NOSC networks and cloud mail accounts.

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC is hiring Storage & Virtualization Engineers to support the AFCENT NOSC contract at Shaw AFB. The NOSC program runs 24/7 enterprise network operations, including cybersecurity, engineering, maintenance, and technical support, to keep the AFCENT theater communications and IT infrastructure secure and available to enable mission execution.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide administration, installation, operation, and maintenance support on applications, systems, and infrastructure equipment supporting all the NOSC networks.
• Monitor the security posture (STIG compliance, patching, vulnerability mitigation, and end-point protection compliance) of NOSC network devices and systems.
• Execute remediation actions to ensure proper STIG compliance, patching, vulnerability mitigation and end-point protection compliance of NOSC network devices and systems.
• Maintain server room including enforcing and monitoring equipment installations, proper cable maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Engineer and maintain network layer architecture and systems design to include architecture diagrams and rack elevation drawings.
• Monitor NOSC network and systems status using NOSC standard network management platforms and remediate outages and events as required.
• Coordinate ASIs for scheduled maintenance and maintain updates of spare parts and components of the NOSC domain.
• Conduct and monitor data backup and recovery for servers and applications.
• Respond and resolve tickets and incidents in accordance with local NOSC policies and procedures.
• Provide desktop/client support for NOSC networks, including desktop imaging, hardware/software troubleshooting, and peripheral installation and support.
• Create and maintain standard and elevated user accounts, including cloud mail accounts.
• Coordinate with equipment custodians to complete equipment inventories and prepare equipment for disposition and disposal following DLA and DRMO guidelines.
• Control, safeguard, configure, and provide touch maintenance of encryption devices.
• Participate in new technology rollouts on the NOSC domain/networks.

Required Qualifications

Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant experience; Or, 5 or more years’ relevant experience

Conduct framing of pleadings to properly identify alleged violations of law, regulations, or policy/guidance.

Certifications Required

• CompTIA Network +CE or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• VMware Certification / VCTA
• ITIL Foundation - Candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification

Clearance Required

• Department of Defense Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
