Job summary

TAP Engineering LLC is seeking a System Administrator II - Storage Support in Annapolis Junction, Maryland to support enterprise and HPC storage environments across multiple sites. The role requires troubleshooting, systems administration across Linux/Unix/Windows, and collaboration with Government and contractor personnel to maintain availability, security, and performance.

The position includes 24/7 operational readiness, detailed documentation, and coordination of storage and network devices,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph, polygraph within 7 years.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification required.
• Experience administering Linux/Unix/Windows systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise or HPC storage environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate mission-critical systems 24/7 and collaborate with Government staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Monitor, respond to incidents, and manage storage environments.
• Maintain enterprise and HPC storage systems across sites.
• Support client/server, storage, and network devices.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support based on experience.
• Escalate issues and communicate status to Government and internal stakeholders.
• Document configurations, procedures, and sustainment activities.
• Follow ticketing and change management procedures.
