Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect to join our Startups and SMB team in the United States. The role focuses on designing sophisticated storage and data strategies for enterprise customers, leveraging AWS storage services and leading technical engagements with account teams.

You will serve as a SME, collaborating with field Solution Architects to guide large-scale deployments and accelerate adoption of advanced AWS services, while creating white papers and reference

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
• 7+ years of server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems experience.”
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
• Experience with distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy storage and data strategies,
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class Go to Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
