Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Storage Deployment Manager to lead a team of storage engineers across on-premises data centers and cloud providers. You will own the full deployment lifecycle—from capacity planning and procurement to rack integration, provisioning, and ongoing health—while driving automation, standardization, and cost efficiency.

Ideally, you bring 12+ years in large-scale storage, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of NVMe-oF, NFS/SMB, S3, and HPC file systems.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Storage Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience in large-scale storage architecture, operations, or infrastructure.
• 6+ years of people management or technical leadership experience with storage, infrastructure, or site reliability teams.
• Deep knowledge of block, file, object, and parallel file systems (NVMe-oF, NFS/SMB, S3-compatible, Lustre/GPFS).
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating multi-vendor storage solutions (NetApp, Pure, Cloudian, DDN).
• Strong understanding of storage hardware internals and data center networking relevant to storage.

Responsibilities

• Lead petabyte-scale deployments across on-prem data centers and major CSPs, owning end-to-end lifecycle.
• Engineer and maintain automation pipelines integrating storage with CMDB, configuration management, and observability stacks.
• Drive data center efficiency: optimize power, density, and rack space.
• Develop self-service tools and dashboards for real-time capacity and growth tracking.
• Coordinate with networking, compute, cloud, and data center teams for unified capacity view.
• Manage vendor relationships and lead hardware refresh/EOL planning.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow storage deployment engineers; establish standards and on-call practices.
• Partner with architecture and security to evaluate new storage tech and create production deployment standards.
• Own full lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning with compliance and data destruction.
• Define data lifecycle policies with stakeholders to improve efficiency and reduce stale data.
