Job summary

Dal-Tile is seeking a Stone Center Manager to drive sales, lead store operations, and develop strong customer relationships in our Stone Center. This role focuses on revenue growth, margin improvement, and effective team leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive stone industry experience, proven sales and management capabilities, and the ability to train and develop associates while ensuring compliance with safety and operational policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 5+ years of stone sales experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in sales/management in the stone business.
• Experience in stone industry and managing a Stone Center preferred.
• Strong leadership, training, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; valid DOT certification for forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Achieves revenue, budget, and other business objectives for each fiscal year.
• Develops business relationships with key customers within the store coverage area.
• Defines goals and communicates them to Stone personnel for performance measurement.
• Provides leadership and direction to staff to pursue store objectives.
• Communicates with customers to maximize market penetration and margin potential.
• Develops and implements strategic plans to meet corporate goals.
• Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, pricing, and discounts.
• Advises customers on product selection, pricing, and sales volume; builds relationships.
• Meets with key customers to negotiate and close deals.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures to meet budgetary requirements.
• Analyzes sales reports for volume, EVA, and margins using reporting processes.
• Ensures prudent credit transactions and manages collections.
• Participates in planning with accurate sales forecasts.
• Aligns achievements with corporate goals and safety expectations.
• Trains, leads, and develops associates in customer service, order management, purchasing, warehouse duties, and system processes.
• Cross-trains on Stone Center operations; recruits, hires, and manages staff; provides ongoing development.
• Ensures compliance with HR policies including hiring, firing, performance management, and DOT compliance.
• Provides understanding and training in safety and proper truck loading; operates lift trucks with booms/cranes.
• Performs other related duties as required.
