Our client, a leading publicly traded Fintech company, is looking for a stock equity plan manager who will handle employee stock ownership programs at the company, track who gets stock options or shares, when employees can use them, and ensure all the paperwork and taxes are handled correctly.
Essentially, they're the person who makes sure employees get their promised ownership stake in the company and that everything follows tax and securities laws.
The accounting side involves:
Journal Entries & Expense Recognition
Reports They Generate
Month-End/Quarter-End Tasks
This is internal accounting work - they're not investment advisors like at Morgan Stanley. They're doing the back-office number crunching to make sure the company's books properly reflect the cost and liability of giving employees equity, and ensuring everyone pays the right taxes when shares vest or get exercised.
The Opportunity: This strategic equity expert role goes beyond typical finance positions. We seek someone to navigate our high-growth trajectory and build scalable systems that will enable our ambitious vision.
The level of influence and visibility is very high - you'll have a lot of direct contact with the CEO, CFO and VP Accounting.
