Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support SEC-related filings and related equity disclosures.
• Assist with ASC 718 valuation inputs and tracking.
• Coordinate with Payroll, Legal, and HR to manage equity grants and reporting.
• Serve as a knowledge base for employee equity questions and senior leadership reporting.

The Stock Administrator is responsible for the accurate administration, accounting support, and compliance oversight of Alamar’s equity compensation programs. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this role is critical to maintaining equity data integrity, supporting financial reporting and audits, and ensuring compliance with public‑company requirements while providing a positive employee equity experience.

Responsibilities

Equity Administration & Controls

• Administer all equity compensation programs (stock options, RSUs, and ESPP) in accordance with equity plans, grant agreements, and company policies
• Process equity transactions in the Equity Edge equity administration system (E*TRADE), including grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, and forfeitures
• Maintain accurate equity records and ensure proper documentation to support SOX controls and audit requirements
• Liaise with Computershare and reconcile transfer agent data as appropriate.

Financial Reporting & Public Company Support

• Partner closely with the Controller’s team on equity‑related accounting, reporting, and reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Prepare equity schedules and roll forwards to support financial statements, footnote disclosures, and audit requests
• Support SEC‑related filings and disclosures (e.g., proxy equity tables, share‑based compensation support, Forms 4 coordination)
• Assist with valuation inputs and tracking related to ASC 718

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with Payroll on taxable equity events, withholdings, and reporting
• Partner with Legal on equity plan administration, insider compliance, and documentation
• Work with HR and Talent teams to incorporate equity compensation as a critical component of total compensation and execute new hire, promotion, refresh, and off‑cycle equity grants

Employee & Executive Support

• Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employee and executive equity questions, including vesting, exercises, and termination treatment
• Support senior leadership and Board‑level equity reporting as needed
• Help develop clear, employee‑friendly equity communications and reference materials

Process Improvement & Scale

• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls, efficiency, and scalability in a post‑IPO environment
• Support equity system enhancements, integrations, and vendor management

Qualifications

Required

• 3–6+ years of experience in stock administration, equity compensation, or related finance/HR role
• CEP or equivalent credential
• Experience supporting equity administration in a public company
• Strong understanding of stock options, RSUs and ESPP offerings; familiarity with ASC 718 concepts
• Hands‑on experience with Equity Edge administration platform (E*TRADE)
• Exceptional attention to detail and experience handling confidential financial data
• Strong Excel skills and ability to reconcile complex equity data

Preferred

• Experience in biotech, life sciences, or high‑growth public companies
• Exposure to SOX, audits, and SEC reporting processes

The base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
