The Ohio Veterans Homes in Georgetown, part of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services, seeks a Therapeutic Program Worker to provide daily living assistance to residents at the Southern Ohio Veteran's Home. This full-time role offers competitive pay and generous benefits.
Starting pay is $23.28 per hour, with raises to $23.65, plus $500 bonuses after 120 days and after one year, and tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually. Shift options include 3pm-11:30pm and 11pm-7:30am.

The Ohio Veterans Homes, part of Ohio Department of Veterans Services, are trauma informed care long-term care focused on providing excellent care to Ohio's veterans. The Veteran Homes provide direct nursing home care at facilities in Sandusky and Georgetown as well as domiciliary living to qualified veterans in Sandusky. A Therapeutic Program Worker (TPW) is a direct care worker that helps residents with daily living skills and assists them with needs. Support given to the individual will vary based on each person’s needs and capabilities.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. In Department of Developmental Disabilities, must also possess a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence pursuant to Chapter 5123:2-3-01(F) (1) (c). For positions that require operation of motor vehicle to transport consumers to recreational, educational &/or occupational activities, a valid driver’s license is required.
