Job summary

Covenant Village Care Center is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance, while maintaining dignity and comfort.

You will monitor residents, report changes to the nursing team, assist with daily activities, and participate in ongoing staff development to ensure safe, compassionate care. This role requires English proficiency and teamwork in a respectful, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a State Tested Nursing Assistant in this state.
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, such as toileting, incontinence care, and mobility.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Supervise and educate STNAs and other facility personnel on established policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff development activities, including in-service training and orientation programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
• Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and used.
• Care Plan and Assessment: Review care plans daily and inform supervisors of changes in condition.
• Resident Rights: Honor the resident's treatment decisions and document actions.
