Job summary

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (STNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. You will work closely with our nursing team to meet patients' physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

The role covers Summit and Portage counties, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8 am to 4:30 pm, and offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a State-approved STNA program with current unencumbered STNA certificate.
• Minimum one year STNA experience in acute care or LTC; hospice experience a plus.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care according to the plan of care and respond promptly to patient and family needs.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and support to patients and families.
• Educate and support families in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and comply with agency standards.

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (STNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
• Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Must be a graduate of a State-approved STNA program and hold current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA).
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a STNA in an acute care or LTC setting preferred. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Pay

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
