Job summary
Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (STNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. You will work closely with our nursing team to meet patients' physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism.
The role covers Summit and Portage counties, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8 am to 4:30 pm, and offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Graduate of a State-approved STNA program with current unencumbered STNA certificate.
- Minimum one year STNA experience in acute care or LTC; hospice experience a plus.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care according to the plan of care and respond promptly to patient and family needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and support to patients and families.
- Educate and support families in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and comply with agency standards.
