Job summary

The Stihl Service Tech at McCoy’s Building Supply in Lockhart, TX will assist customers with purchasing, servicing, training, and repairing Stihl-related products, and participate in floor sales.

They will greet customers, provide service and repairs, determine parts and labor estimates, and update customers on warranties and delays. The role requires strong customer service, product knowledge, and ability to handle POS tasks.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints or specifications manuals and plan assembly or building operations.
• Ability to operate cash registers, calculators, or scanners.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Provides service, maintenance, and repairs for Stihl-related products, as authorized by the vendor, in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Determines parts needed, estimates labor, and determines if repairs are covered under product warranty.
• Provides regular updates to customers on warranty coverage, service/repair delays, or parts availability.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment per vendor and company guidelines.
• Provides training for store personnel to ensure customers receive product knowledge and pre-delivery inspections.
