Job summary

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, Los Angeles, is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead the stewarding team in a high‑end hotel environment. You will support the Executive Steward with administrative tasks, manage inventories, and uphold impeccable cleanliness of back‑of‑house food and beverage areas.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, ensuring punctual shifts, coordinating kitchen and banquet setups, and maintaining equipment and par stock.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year supervisory experience in stewarding or similar operations.
• High School diploma required; Hotel/Restaurant management degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Executive Steward/Stewarding Assistant Manager with administrative duties
• Conduct inventories on a regular schedule
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house food & beverage areas including silverware and glassware
• Lead, coach and inspire stewarding staff
• Ensure punctual attendance and proper uniform and sign-in procedures
• Conduct daily line-ups to pass along events and information
• Review kitchen and banquet setups for accuracy and timeliness
• Coordinate delivery of food and supplies as needed
• Conduct development discussions and performance reviews
• Ensure operating equipment is in good condition and par stock is controlled
• Monitor hygiene standards per hotel requirements
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with Engineering on breakage prevention
• Ensure all F&B outlets are well-equipped and maintained
• Oversee housekeeping of back-of-house areas including kitchens, storage and ware washing areas
• Maintain cleaning schedules to meet health inspections
• Direct staff to maintain cleanliness and proper transport of goods
• Perform routine cleaning with standard products to meet health standards
• Report for scheduled duties and provide high levels of guest service
