Job summary

Deer Valley Resort is seeking a Steward Supervisor to oversee Back of House cleanliness and sanitation in our restaurant operations in Park City, UT. The role emphasizes supervising stewards, ensuring proper cleaning, and coordinating with banquet chefs for events.

The position requires staff management experience, familiarity with janitorial and culinary sanitation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Bilingual candidates are preferred; benefits include housing options and meals on shift.

Qualifications

• Staff management experience required.
• Background in janitorial and culinary sanitation preferred.
• Bilingual candidates preferred (Spanish and English).
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Train all stewards and stewarding crew leaders.
• Supervise staff and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Report departmental equipment failures and problems to the building maintenance department.
• Coordinate with the managing banquet chef to provide all plates and associated service wares for all events.
• Receive, properly clean, and restock flatware, china, glassware, and other operating equipment.
• Load and operate the Champion dish machine and pot and pan machine.
• Clean walls and floors, clean and organize shelving, empty trash containers, and clean and restock handwash stations with soap and paper towels.
• Perform scheduled cleaning of hoods, walk-ins, ovens, grills, drains, hand sinks, kettles, tilt skillet, etc.
• Ensure dock area is clean and organized and put boxes in the bailer.
• Clean trash compactor as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
