Job summary

Loews New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Stewarding Supervisor to guide the stewarding team and uphold top cleanliness and safety across back-of-house areas. You’ll oversee dishwashing, manage inventories, and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations to support culinary and F&B teams in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in a mid-volume stewarding operation within an upscale hotel or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting heavy items, standing for long periods, and operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the stewarding team, assigning tasks and covering responsibilities across shifts.
• Provide hands-on training, coaching, and feedback to maintain service excellence.
• Oversee cleaning and sanitation of dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and kitchen equipment to Loews’ standards.
• Ensure dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment operate efficiently and report malfunctions.
• Coordinate cleaning of kitchen areas, storage spaces, and back-of-house areas to keep areas spotless.
