Job summary

The Scottsdale Resort & Spa is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness and safety in kitchen, banquet, and food-service areas. You will supervise staff, coordinate with culinary and banquet leadership, and maintain health and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in stewarding or related hospitality roles, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment; ServSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of stewarding or related hospitality experience; leadership preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise stewarding staff across shifts and ensure adequate coverage for kitchen, banquet, and outlet operations.
• Maintain sanitation standards for dishware, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment per health codes and brand requirements.
• Inspect work areas for cleanliness, storage, and safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Train new stewarding staff on safety procedures, equipment operation, and sanitation protocols.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Banquet teams to anticipate equipment and supply needs for events and daily service.
• Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and small wares; place orders as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health codes, and resort safety policies; oversee PPE usage.
• Assist in managing departmental labor costs and reducing breakage and waste.
