Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to join the Hilton Short Hills property in Millburn, NJ. You will oversee stewarding operations and ensure quality standards across all kitchen stewards, coordinating with culinary, front desk, and maintenance teams to support service excellence.

The ideal candidate has 2 years in a high-volume hospitality setting with stewarding or banquet experience, plus familiarity with industrial dishwashing equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of high-volume restaurant, hotel or resort experience as a steward.
• 1-2 years of stewarding banquet experience.
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen using industrial dishwashing equipment.
• ServSafe certification preferred
• Communicate well both orally and in writing
• Schedule flexibility to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all quality standards by all stewards in the kitchen during scheduled shift.
• Exemplify proper technique, finesse, and knowledge of all stewarding procedures and methods.
• Efficiently manage schedule to ensure all shifts are properly staffed.
• Development and completion of banquet pull sheets, equipment cleanliness and plate up.
• Inventory control: Maintain silver, china and glassware.
• Encourage and train staff to properly use materials to reduce expenses.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain ServSafe standards.
• Communicate with co-workers and managers to maintain a safe workspace.
• Lead team to develop efficiencies and streamline production and labor.
