Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts in Short Hills, NJ is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to uphold quality standards across all stewarding operations in a fast-paced hotel setting.

You will lead a team, schedule shifts, ensure sanitary practices with ServSafe awareness, train staff, and collaborate with culinary and front-of-house teams to deliver spotless service while controlling costs and maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• 2 years of high-volume restaurant, hotel or resort experience as a steward.
• 1-2 years of stewarding banquet experience.
• Experience with industrial dishwashing equipment.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Schedule flexibility to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical demands: ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all quality standards by stewards in the kitchen during shifts.
• Exemplify proper stewarding techniques and methods.
• Schedule management to ensure proper staffing for all shifts.
• Develop banquet pull sheets, ensure equipment cleanliness and plating readiness.
• Maintain inventory of silver, china and glassware; control costs.
