Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Support Services is seeking a Steward to lead cleaning operations and ensure restaurants are supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs.

The role involves following department objectives, assisting in ordering non-food items, inspecting equipment for safety, and maintaining open communication with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage. Flexibility to work varying shifts and uphold confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year progressive experience in the Stewards’ Department.

Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
• Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
• Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of one-year progressive experience within the Stewards’ Department.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to walk distances. Ability to lift 30 to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
