Job summary

Hard Rock International is seeking a Banquet Houseman/Steward in Cincinnati to ensure banquet spaces are clean, well-equipped, and ready for events.

The incumbent will support cleaning operations in the Banquets area, set up banquet spaces, and maintain inventory and equipment to meet business needs. Experience in banquet environments and a commitment to safety are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year progressive experience in the Banquets Department.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati for gaming entertainment and mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines for proper operation.
• Assists in ordering and receiving non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures it is in working order per safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in food departments.
• Maintains open communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage; participates in meetings and follow-ups.
• Performs work regularly and predictably; handles other duties as assigned.

The incumbent in this position is responsible for cleaning operations in our Banquets area, ensuring the banquet space is supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs. As well as setting up banquet areas for events.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
• Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
• Other duties as assigned.
