Job summary

The Stonebridge in Bozeman, MT is seeking a dependable Steward to maintain cleanliness and the orderly flow of china, glassware, silver, and related equipment, working to health department standards and hotel policies.

The role supports all outlets and banquets by providing supplies and keeping kitchen, pantry, and storage areas sanitary, while assisting with setup and breakdown of equipment for events. This position requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or stewarding role preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensures proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitors the dishwashing machine for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assists in transporting food and equipment to banquet and dining areas as needed.
• Follows health department regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Disposes of trash and recycling in accordance with local regulations.
• Restocks dishes, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen and service areas.
• Communicates with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of kitchen equipment.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and wiping down surfaces.
• Assists with setting up and breaking down kitchen equipment for events.
