Job summary

Four Seasons is seeking a dedicated Kitchen/ Dishwashing Associate in Los Angeles. You will clean and sanitize dishware, ovens, kettles, and kitchen areas, while maintaining a safe, orderly environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of Food & Beverage experience and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, overnights, and afternoons. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, training opportunities, employee meals, and discounts.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Experience operating dishwashing machines and kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Minimum 1 year Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Good communication and customer contact skills.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, overnights, and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize china, glass, and silver using the dishwashing machine; load and unload dishware.
• Clean and sanitize ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, and kitchen utensils with proper solutions.
• Set up, clean, and operate the silver burnishing machine; route worn pieces for repair.
• Store cleaning chemicals safely and use protective clothing as required.
• Collaborate professionally with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Clean and sanitize china, glass, and silver using the dishwashing machine; load and unload dishware and flatware from dishwashing machine and store properly.
• Clean and sanitize all ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment as well as all kitchen drains, sinks, floors, and walls; clean, dust, seep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff kitchen and pastry shop production areas and hallways.
• Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using the correct cleaning and rinsing solutions.
• Safely set-up, clean, and utilize the silver burnishing machine to clean, polish, sort, and transport silver following a daily or weekly schedule; place damaged or excessively worn pieces in a designated area for repair.
• Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Skills/Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have:

• High school education
• Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean dishwashing machine, sinks, floors, cleaning equipment and silver.
• Minimum of 1 year Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Good communication and customer contact skills.
• Full time position requires applicant to have full schedule flexibility. Applicant must be available to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, overnights, and afternoon shifts.
