Job Description

A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china, glass, and silverware, and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. They assist kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas, clean equipment and utensils, and help with proper food storage and rotation.

• Flexible hours; long shifts may be required.
• Heavy physical work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Ability to withstand temperature variations, both hot and cold.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in a hotel or related field is a plus.
