Job Description

The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the bustling Seaport District. This AAA Four Diamond hotel offers 1,054 guestrooms, 52 suites, diverse dining options, a rooftop pool, Breve Spa, and extensive meeting space. We foster creativity and encourage innovative solutions within our team. The Banquet Steward is responsible for transporting equipment and food/beverage items to functions, maintaining cleanliness and organization in food and beverage areas, and supporting overall operations.

Responsibilities

• Replenish kitchen line with clean pots, plates, and china.
• Assist with banquet plate-ups as directed.
• Establish dish-out and breakdown stations; assist with dishwashing.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, preparing for inspections.
• Clean and sanitize ice machines and other equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all food prep and storage areas.
• Sanitize food & beverage shelving, carts, and trash receptacles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Hands-on food and beverage knowledge and hospitality experience.
• Preferred experience in stewarding at a large convention hotel.
• Excellent customer service skills, friendly demeanor, problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members.
