Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton seeks a Manager for Central Sterilization to oversee sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments, ensuring high cleanliness and sterile conditions. You will lead a team, implement policies, and collaborate with Infection Prevention and Endoscopy teams.

The role requires an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred) with 5+ years as a Certified Surgical Technologist/CS Technician and 3–5 years of supervision in OR/Endoscopy/Central Sterilization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Surgical Technology or related field.
• 5+ years as a Certified Surgical Technologist and/or Certified CS Technician.
• 3–5 years in supervisory/management roles in Operating Room, Endoscopy or Central Sterilization.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, disinfection and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Central Sterilization policies and procedures for quality and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and training to CS staff.
• Recruit, orient and develop staff; manage payroll and scheduling.
• Plan capital asset needs for surgical and procedural areas.
• Lead LEAN process improvements and KPI initiatives in surgical services.
