Interim Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Sterilization Tech for a full-time position in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves processing, sterilizing, and delivering instruments within a clinical setting, following infection control standards.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of sterilization experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong computer skills. HSPA CSCRT certification is preferred. Pay is up to $33/hr, with benefits and PTO as applicable.

• Assemble instrument sets and trays; prepare and deliver sterilization equipment.
• Operate sterilizers safely and document loads and processes.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain sterilization records.
• Follow infection control and safety standards; respond to urgent requests.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Sterilization Processing Tech- Full-Time

Interim Healthcare Staffing has an immediate need for a Sterilization Tech to fill a temporary need!

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.

Location: Clinical setting in Minneapolis, MN (East Bank)

Pay Rate: Up to 33$/hr depending on experience!

Job Responsibilities:

• Collects used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
• Cleans instruments and supplies, removing contaminants and waste to ensure items are free of foreign matter prior to sterilization.
• Operates and maintains decontamination equipment, and perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, labeling and sterilization of instruments and supplies.
• Assemble instrument sets and trays accurately, and prepare, pack and deliver sterilization equipment needed for clinical procedures.
• Operate sterilizers safely and document sterilization loads and processes according to established standards.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain records related to sterilization procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety standards, and department protocols, and respond to urgent requests with accuracy and efficiency.
• Additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• At least 1-2 years of recent experience in handling and sterilization processing of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation.
• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification as a Central Processing Tech (CSCRT)is strongly preferred!
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Proficient with computer systems along with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products.
